    Contemporary Arts Exchange

Where can a person set up a studio with natural light, high ceilings, a floor that doesn’t mind getting paint splattered or scratched by equipment and the fellowship of like-minded creative types, all for a fee any “starving artist” can afford?  Believe it or not, in the Contemporary Art Exchange on the upper floors of the original stagecoach stop in the heart of downtown Macon, Georgia, When the building was restored, its owner left the upstairs spaces unfinished, creating the perfect community for writers, painters, photographers, sculptors, print makers, installation / film artists and even musicians, who open their studios and share their art with visitors the First Friday of each month.
