Georgia Children's Museum
The brightly colored trim on this five-story downtown corner building is an imaginative teaser that mimics the fun and inspirational goings-on within its four brick walls. From learning to draw superheroes like the city’s own Macon Man, to discovering more about subjects like archeology, writing, or solving mysteries, kids RISE (Respect, Include, Support and Encourage) to the occasion through thoughtful participation with others at the Georgia Children’s Museum. Special events include free admission and entertainment during the First Friday of each month and an annual Scared Silly Haunted House in October. Fun gifts for all ages are found in Smarty Pants Museum Store. Open Tuesday-Saturday, year-round.
