Georgia Sports Hall of Fame
Georgia’s sports history is as rich as its clay is red, and nowhere is that more evident than at the state’s official sports hall of fame in downtown Macon, Georgia. Dedicated to athletes, coaches, trainers and other supporters who have contributed to the state’s storied past and present, the massive hall showcases the best in prep, college, amateur and professional athletics, including special exhibits from the 1996 Olympics and Paralympics that were hosted in Georgia. Dynamic interactive areas include a full-size NASCAR simulator, basketball court, football field goal and professional announcer’s booth where fans can try their hand at calling some of the state’s greatest plays.
