Museum of Aviation
Located in Warner Robins, Georgia, just south of Macon, the Museum of Aviation is home to more than 100 aircraft and missiles from a replica of an 1896 glider to an SR-71 Blackbird, one of the fastest planes in the world. There are four buildings of interactive exhibits including the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame, Flying Tigers, CBI Hump Pilots, Tuskegee Airmen and Robert L. Scott “God Is My Co-Pilot.” The World War II Exhibit Hangar features an award-winning exhibit on the 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment and the Air Invasion of Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Take a flight of your own in the Transporter Motion Simulator, have a birds-eye view of the Museum’s outdoor aircraft from the Victory Café Observation Deck, relax in Freedom Park, or browse the Gift Shop.
