    Georgia’s largest exhibit of functional and sculptural pottery, Fired Works is Macon’s signature April event. Each year, 60-plus Georgia artists and featured regional artists from Southeastern states exhibit and sell their work in the historic Round Building at Central City Park in downtown Macon, Georgia. Not only does this event offer an excellent shopping, arts and culture event, it also showcases the rich heritage shaped by the state and region’s connection to the earth. During a season when many see muddy tires and children stained red from head to toe, these artists bring to light the beauty of the area’s most plentiful resource: clay.
