Tennis
Macon, Georgia, definitely has an advantage when it comes to the game of tennis. Private and public courts are conveniently located throughout the city and county. Macon’s central location and abundance of available courts has helped the city attract numerous junior and adult tournaments. Locals can learn to compete in a USTA league or they can simply enjoy an invigorating volley with a friend.
Middle Georgia Tennis
Middle Georgia Tennis in conjunction with the City of Macon's John Drew Smith and Tattnall Tennis Centers has a mission to grow tennis throughout the Middle Georgia area through adult and junior programs, socials, tournaments and leagues.

Macon Tennis Association
The Macon Tennis Association was one of the first Community Tennis Associations in Georgia, founded in the early 1970’s by John Drew Smith, Macon’s first teaching pro, with help from his “Legion of Ladies” and other avid tennis supporters. Since early days, MTA volunteers have hosted junior and adult tournament events, bringing thousands of visitors to our city and courts each year. Partnering with the City of Macon Parks and Recreation Departments, the MTA offers the beginning junior or adult player the opportunity to learn this great game, then to join team play at his/her appropriate level.
