Quality Computer Systems of Macon is teaming up with Cox’s Connect 2 Compete to offer Bibb County Public School students an opportunity to purchase affordable broadband internet service and personal computers.
Quality Computer Systems of Macon is selling DELL laptops to those students who are eligible for Cox’s Connect 2 Compete for only $150 (+tax). Laptops come equipped with a 10" LCD screen, 4 Thread Intel CPU, 250 GB Hard Drive, WebCam, WiFi and a 6 Hour Battery life. If you have a Child In Bibb County Public Schools, you can qualify for Microsoft Office 2010 for FREE on this system.
The Connect2Compete program is designed for K-12 students in Bibb County. Families with at least one child receiving free lunch are eligible to receive Internet services, from Cox, at $9.95 per month. There also are no activation fees or equipment rental fees associated with the high-speed Internet program.
Connect2Compete (C2C) is a national non-profit organization that brings together many government, nonprofit and private sector partners who are dedicated to improving lives through the power of the internet. Each of the programs offered by Connect2Compete’s partners has specific eligibility requirements.
