Did you know that most plantation houses looked more like this than Tara?
Jarrell Plantation Historic Site tells the story of cotton farming in the mid 1800s and now you can hear all about it. Jarrell Plantation is now offering guided tours to the public one Saturday morning of each month. Join one of their staff members and tour the historic grounds of the plantation. You’ll see original homes, a smokehouse, engine house, mill complex, barn, museum, film and gift shop. Learn about the Jarrell family, the agricultural operation, and how the switch to industry kept the plantation afloat up until its donation.
For a limited time, mention this Facebook post for $5 admission.
