No doubt, one of the most successful new restaurants to open in Macon over the past few years has been Twang Southern Tastes and Sounds. The local entrepreneurs behind this operation did their homework before opening this local Bar and Restaurant. First, they picked a location that was well established. Everyone in Macon knew where The old Shamrock bar was located. Next, they focused on providing good food and great service and finally they promoted the hell out of Twang to make it an instant classic destination in Macon.
Now this same restaurant team is upping the ante by expanding the Twang location to include a new bar and live music venue. The new Tractor Room @ Twang will allow the owners to keep Twang thriving as a great restaurant while at the same time expanding the bar and entertainment aspects of this successful business.
The Tractor Room @ Twang :
We talked to Jerry and Tori Jennings, part of the owner's group for The new Tractor Room @ Twang and they told us the new facility will feature a spacious setting with a rustic country comfort theme. The additional space will host up to 250 people. The Tori and Jerry have been hard at work collecting memorabilia from around Middle Georgia and beyond that will make any local resident feel right at home in the new Tractor Room. The official grand opening will take place on March 6 & 7th and you can find all the details in our TOP PICK for things to do section.
Of course, you have got to love the slogan of "Get Plowed" at the Tractor Room @ Twang. Only from the minds of local marketing genius can such a humorous and informative slogan come into being. In addition to the new bar the Tractor Room @Twang will be featuring a steady stream of local and regional music acts. On tap for the grand opening weekend is the Barstool Prophets. The team at Gateway Macon is working with the owners to ensure all the Tractor Room acts will be listed on our music calendar in the future.
