Amerson River Park Advances To The Elite Eight!

Welcome to the #ELGLKnope Elite Eight! Voting opens on Monday, March 18, 2019 and concludes at noon on Saturday, March 23, 2019.

NEW for this round: double points awarded for every park/open space selfie photo shared on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram with the hashtag #ELGLKnope and the name of the park.

Vote for Amerson Riverpark in the Elite Eight and engage your community to celebrate this special public place.  Macon's Amerson River Park could win a national award named for parks leader Leslie Knope from the television show Parks and Recreation.  The Knope Awards, modeled after March Madness, are in its third year and recognize local government places such as parks. Amerson River Park is in the round of 8, in the April Division.

The park was nominated for a Knope Award, which is a project of the organization Engaging Local Government Leaders. The community is encouraged to vote Amerson River Park to the next round.  Cast your vote HERE for Amerson River Park.
