MACON- Depaul USA announced today that it will open Wear, a boutique-style thrift clothing store, on May 6, 2015. All proceeds from the downtown store, located at 464 First Street, will benefit Daybreak, Depaul USA’s day/resource center for homeless men and women in Macon.
“Depaul USA is delighted to be expanded its programming in Macon with this social enterprise,” said Charles Levesque, President of Depaul USA. “Wear will be a ‘thrift with a twist’ offering shoppers thrift store prices for clothes and accessories in a boutique environment. Best of all, shoppers can have fun finding a bargain while supporting essential services at Daybreak.”
“I am delighted to use my skills to benefit such a worthy organization,” added Heatherly Wakefield. “Downtown needs a store like Wear and it will complement the other interesting and unique shops on First Street.”
Wear is Depaul USA’s second social enterprise.
