This weekend I was fortunate enough to see I Do I Do I Do at the Macon Little Theatre. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, I’m sorry because you really missed out on a super funny play that even the husbands can enjoy. This play was set in the main living room in a wealthy family’s home on the outskirts of London. This is the story of a bride who can’t quite make up her mind and changes start happening four weeks before the big day and hilarity ensues! I’m usually extremely leery of fake English accents, but the cast most have practiced a lot, because their accents were spot on. The entire cast did such a magnificent job, but it was Jonathan Green who played “Tom” that really stuck out as the top performance. Not only did he have a great stage presence, but his mannerisms really made everything that much funnier. We are so fortunate to have as talented local actors in Macon and equally blessed to have the Macon Little Theatre right here in our backyard. I encourage everyone to go buy tickets for future shows and support this great resource for the arts. Theatre tickets would make a great date night or even a great gift!
