FRIDAY - SEPTEMBER 18TH
TUNES AND SPOONS
Start the weekend off right with the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Gray for their 3rd Annual Tunes and Spoons event. Try to get there by 6 so you can taste all the delicious foods from Gray's local restaurants like Pickle Barrel Cafe, Old Clinton BBQ, Agave Azul, All About the Cake, Treasures by the Tracks, Brick House, Harvey's, Tingen Ice, and Zaxby's. At 7 p.m. join the Redding family as they unveil the long awaited and official dedication memorial marker honoring the late soul legend, Otis Redding. The Redding family and the Otis Redding Memorial Committee will unveil the permanent marker honoring the legendary soul singer’s ties to the city of Gray, Ga. and Jones County on Friday, September 18 at 7 p.m. The marker is located at the corner of Highway 11 and Highway 129, in downtown Gray, Ga. near The Station. After the dedication, be sure to stay for great music from the A2Z Band.

RANDALL BRAMBLETT - ALBUM RELEASE PARTY @ THE COX CAPITAL THEATER
Friday night Randall Bramblett will release his new studio album, Devil Music, from New West Records. Bramblett, an acclaimed Southern artist—whose songs have been recorded by Bonnie Raitt, Bettye LaVette and Hot Tuna and who's served as a collaborator with Greg Allman, Steve Winwood and Levon Helm among others. Bramblett built the 11-song effort upon a foundation of R&B and Soul, but he also imparts the collection with rock and roll fervor and a willingness to improvise. Bramblett recruited a handful of A-list special guests to join him on the recording, including Derek Trucks, Mark Knopfler and Chuck Leavell. Be among the first to hear the album LIVE at the Album Release Party this Friday @ the Cox Capital Theater.

SATURDAY - SEPTEMBER 19TH
BARNESVILLE BUGGY DAYS
This Saturday, make the short trip to Barnesville, Georgia for their annual Barnesville Buggy Days festival. Buggy Day's celebrates Barnesville’s heritage as the Buggy Capital of the South during the late 1800′s. This festival includes an arts and crafts show, food for everyone, live music and street dance, a parade, and more. More than 150 artists and crafts persons sell their handmade items on Main Street. Buggies are on display outdoors and in our Old Jail Museum. Food pleasing to every taste is available from hardworking civic clubs. Live entertainment will be going on both days of the arts and crafts show. Parade will begin at 2 p.m. Fun for the whole family!
Barnesville Buggy Days Festival
OCMULGEE INDIAN CELEBRATION
This Saturday join the largest Native American gathering in the Southeast as more than 300 craftsmen, dancers, storytellers, living history demonstrators and others with ties to the area return to their ancestral home at Ocmulgee National Monument in Macon, Georgia. Named one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, the celebration shares this vital piece of American history with some 20,000 guests to the monument each year, allowing new generations to understand the Native American heritage, arts, and culture first-hand through interaction and observation.

Gateway Park, a statue of Macon’s own Otis Redding, restrooms, trail walks and the 16th Annual Rhythm & Jazz On The Dock concert series is a perfect blend for what we call “a community picnic” with music, entertainment and the River serving as the backdrop of our stage. The 16th Concert Series at the Gateway Park will feature some of the best artists in and around the state of Georgia and we PRESENT: The Ladies of Interchange, and Krist Austin from Augusta, Ga.
