WEEKEND ROUNDUP

"I'm so sad.  I wish it was Monday instead." - Said no one in history EVER!

It's the last weekend in September. We don't really know what that means for y'all, but for us it means catching the Georgia game, listening to some live music, and being efficiently unproductive.  There's food, there's music, there's beer, and there's bucket loads of culture. What more could you want in a middle Georgia weekend?

GABBAFEST 2015

Since the early 90's, Allman Brothers fans have united in Macon to celebrate their favorite band during GABBAfest. GABBAfest holds something for everyone and this year will be no exception.

"The Diary Of Anne Frank"
Perry Players, 909 Main St, Perry, GA

In this transcendently powerful new adaptation by Wendy Kesselman, Anne Frank emerges from history a living, lyrical, intensely gifted young girl, who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with astonishing honesty, wit, and determination. An impassioned drama about the lives of eight people hiding from the Nazis in a concealed storage attic, THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK captures the claustrophobic realities of their daily existence—their fear, their hope, their laughter, their grief. Each day of these two dark years, Anne's voice shines through: "When I write I shake off all my cares. But I want to achieve more than that. I want to be useful and bring enjoyment to all people, even those I've never met. I want to go on living even after my death!" This is a new adaptation for a new generation.

Evening shows start at 7:30PM and Sunday Matinees start at 2:30PM.
The Box Office opens at 7:00PM and at 2:00PM.

The theater seats 179 people, and every seat in the house is great!  Our performances have become extremely popular, so we recommend making reservations.  Our reservation line is 478-987-5354 where you can leave your reservation on voice-mail.  Or you can email your reservation to us using the reservation form on the webpage.

SATURDAY - SEPTEMBER 26th

Watch Georgia Football at Macon Beer Company

It's a BYE weekend for Mercer Football, but the University of Georgia is playing Southern this Saturday.  According to ESPN, the main attraction in the Georgia vs. Southern game just might be halftime show.  Georgia will likely beat Southern on Saturday, but the Bulldogs don't stand a chance at halftime when the Jaguars' 'Human Jukebox' band takes over.  Why not head downtown and watch this weekend's SEC teams battle it out on the flat screens at Macon Beer Company?

Susan G. Komen Central Georgia Race For The Cure

Abbey Road Live @ The Cox Capital Theater

Since 2002, Abbey Road LIVE! has been rocking the music of the Beatles at clubs, theatres, festivals, and private events. Initially a tribute to the monumental "Abbey Road" album, the band has expanded its scope to include more than 100 Beatles tunes, from all eras of the Fab Four's career. The band specializes in complete, start-to-finish album performances of masterpieces such as "Abbey Road,""Magical Mystery Tour," "Rubber Soul," "Revolver" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band."

Abbey Road LIVE! is not your typical Beatle look-alike tribute act; don't expect mop-top haircuts and vintage Rickenbacker guitars. Rather, this show is about bringing to life some of the more mature and complex Beatles material in a raw & spirited fashion, while remaining true to the original recordings. Combining attention to detail with a creative exuberance, the band always delights its audiences with its diverse repertoire of hits and more obscure favorites.

Doors open at 7:00 pm - Show starts at 8:00 pm
