"A Little More Soul" Wins National ADDY
MACON, GA (10/04/2011) - The American Advertising Federation presented its 2010–2011 National ADDY® Awards for advertising creative excellence at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel as part of ADMERICA!, the Federation's annual national advertising conference.
Over 50,000 local entries competed in The ADDY® Awards Competition, a three-tiered national competition conducted annually by the American Advertising Federation. The ADDY® Awards Competition is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition for creative excellence.
Of the 1,382 entries received at the national level of the three tiered competition, 87 professional gold ADDY® Awards, 156 professional silver ADDY® Awards, 26 gold student ADDY® Awards and 39 silver student ADDY® Awards were presented. Entries were judged based on creativity, originality and creative strategy.
Macon Gateway Executive Director Beth Dunwody, Elliott Dunwody of Bright Blue Sky Productions, and Kathy Hoskins of Bright Ideas Group attended the National ADDY Awards gala in San Diego to accept a National Silver ADDY for the Macon Gateway Initiative in the Elements of Advertising Category for “A Little More Soul” Music with Lyrics. The “It’s Hotter Here” campaign produced for the Peyton Anderson Foundation received nine local awards and advanced to win a District Gold ADDY in the regional competition.
