Macon Mogul Winner Announced

MACON, GA (01/27/2012) - TailsSpin was recognized today as the grand prize winner of The Macon Mogul business competition at a press conference held by the Macon Gateway Initiative at the Cox Capitol Theatre in downtown Macon. TailsSpin’s entrepreneurial team, led by Jusak Yang Bernard, will receive a business startup package valued at over $50,000, including the following for one year: space in downtown Macon, Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce membership and grand opening ceremony, mentorship by a local business executive, business startup legal services, accounting services, logo and corporate identity package, media advertising schedules, marketing research by a local college, and coverage in Georgia Trend magazine (Macon Feature Edition). The prize package is valued at over $50,000 and includes professional services from the following contributing community partners:

The Macon Mogul finalists were Ariane Parham, Leighton Elliot, Steven Bell, David Wells, Troy Tarpley, Cole Parker, Bobby McCullough, Jeremy Knowles, Deborah McMahon Levitt, Tammy Kight, Lauren O'Quinn, Shannon Archibald, Caren Connoly, Robin Cook, Erika Salter, Robert Fischer, Colby Branum, Brandon Butler, and John Buckner. In addition to the grand prize winner, entrants with promising business plans will also be supported in their efforts to secure funding sources for their business concepts in downtown Macon.

Professional judges reviewed business plans and applications to elect the finalists and the grand prize winner. The jurors were:
