Jason Aldean - Gonna Know We Were Here

Jason Aldean - Gonna Know We Were Here

Filming for Aldean’s new “Gonna Know We Were Here” music video wrapped up in the late night of September 22nd at Windsor Academy, Aldean's former high school in Monroe, County and in downtown Macon, the central Georgia city, which also happens to be Aldean’s hometown. The downtown streets were lined with fans begging to get in on the action.  Downtown Macon's Mulberry Street was lined with classic cars, fireworks, a busload of football players from Windsor Academy, Aldean’s Alma Mater, and all the lighted beautiful historic downtown buildings that were spared by General Sherman on his march to the sea were all a part of the backdrop you'll see in the video.

50% of filming took place in downtown Macon in front of the confederate square at the corner of Cotton Avenue and Second Street. Aldean told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year that Midnight Rider, by the Allman Brothers Band is his phone ringtone.  Coincidentally, the Allman Brothers Band's record label, Capricorn Records is located 2 blocks up from the filming location at 535 Cotton Avenue.  Cotton Avenue is the location and home to the Capricorn Records Executive Office, the label that the Allman Brothers Band recorded under the Capricorn Label and Capricorn's office is located on Cotton Avenue.
