The Show Must Go On

For those patrons who purchased tickets to see the Merle Haggard show May 18 in Macon will receive refunds after the country music legend's death Wednesday.

Haggard had been scheduled to play the Macon City Auditorium with Jason Isbell and special guest Tommy Emmanuel. If you bought tickets online or over the phone, refunds will be automatic. If you purchased tickets at outlets you will need to return to the original point of purchase for a refund, said Courtney Harper, publicist for the Macon Centreplex and City Auditorium.

But while the original concert is canceled, the show will go on with Isbell and Emmanuel.

For Immediate Release:

The Macon Centreplex, City Auditorium, Jason Isbell, and Tommy Emmanuel are all devastated to hear of the passing of the great Merle Haggard. He will be truly missed by all, but his music lives on forever.  The original show of Merle Haggard & Jason Isbell with special guest Tommy Emmanuel is cancelled. For those who bought tickets online and over the phone, refunds will be automatic. For those who bought tickets at outlets, please return your tickets to the original point of purchase for a refund.

However, the show must go on. Jason Isbell with special guest Tommy Emmanuel will still be performing at the Macon Civic Auditorium on Wednesday, May 18 at 7:30pm. Even if you already bought tickets to the previous show with Merle Haggard, you will need to purchase tickets to attend this show. Tickets go on-sale Friday, April 15 at 10am, and tickets start at $25.

"We hope you can join us for a wonderful night of music. Let' all celebrate life and the great Merle Haggard"!
