Middle Georgia Roller Derby

What originated as a response to 70's-era wrestling has grown into an internationally competitive women's full-contact sport, with the top teams even airing on ESPN. And it's thriving right here in Middle Georgia! The Middle Georgia Derby Demons were founded in 2011, and they compete against teams all over the southeast every season, from February–October. As a non-profit amateur women's league, the Derby Demons give a portion of their ticket sales to a local charity every year. All home games are held at Gray-8-Skate Roller Rink on a Saturday evening, followed by a beer & pizza afterparty at the Hummingbird Stage and Taproom
