Middle Georgia State University
Middle Georgia State University offers eight intercollegiate athletic programs and one very successful club football program. A member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference, the Knights compete in men’s and women’s basketball, tennis and soccer, as well as baseball and softball. Most of the programs are based at the Cochran Campus, though the soccer program holds its home games in Macon. A very successful club football program also is well supported and has twice competed for national club football championships.
Athletic fields and training facilities are located in Cochran, where students enjoy a traditional, residential college experience. The baseball program has a long tradition of success, including four national championships while competing in the National Junior College Athletic Association. The tennis program has attracted athletes from several foreign countries.
