Renovation Near Completion For Popular Macon Mediterranean Restaurant

After 20 years of serving great Mediterranean food, it was time...

In the early eighties the Patras family moved to Macon, Georgia for the warmer climate and quickly discovered a need for Greek cuisine in the southeast.  George and his wife, Kathye, opened the first Papouli’s in 1986.  After 30 years of serving great Mediterranean food, Papouli's Mediterranean Cafe has temporarily closed their doors on Tom Hill for a top-to-bottom renovation of the restaurant. The renovations are expect to last several weeks, with an anticipated September reopening.
