New Restaurant Coming To Cherry Street

J's on Cherry will be downtown's newest restaurant addition come July.

J's on Cherry, a new restaurant and bar, will open in the ground floor of 401 Cherry Street, offering another true restaurant option to the south end of downtown Macon.  Carol Lytle, a Texas native and restaurateur, will open J's on Cherry the first of July in the former Bearfoot Tavern location on Cherry Street.  The 50-seat, 4,000 square-foot J's on Cherry caters to every diner’s need and will featuring a full service bar, lounge area and dining room in addition to a back dining area for a more upscale dinner service. To further expand the dining experience, J’s on Cherry is pleased to announce Brooklyn, NY native  Keoko Turner as its Executive Chef.   Turner brings to J’s on Cherry a wealth of finer dining experience after years with BLT Steak Atlanta and Buckhead’s Bistro Niko.

The bar list will feature a wide array of cocktails, wine and beer on tap. Menu offerings include a kids menu and everything from bar fare, such as sandwiches, burgers and specialty salads, to higher end cuisine such as seafood and steaks and a variety of local, healthy options that will be available in the fall. In addition to dining in, delivery and takeout, J's on Cherry will be available for private events and large party's in their backroom come November.  J's on Cherry will serve patrons Monday-Saturday from 10am-10pm with brunch service on Sunday and will be geared towards Macon's diverse downtown and surrounding residents.
