In addition to being a Kansas City Barbeque Society sanctioned competition and Backyard BBQ contest, the City of Kennesaw's Pigs & Peaches BBQ Festival features over 200 vendor, exhibitor and contestant booths, an island-themed Kid Zone, tons of tasty treats to satisfy every whim, and an incredible lineup of live entertainment and street performers.
5. Classic City BBQ Festival
August 14-15, 2015
The third annual Classic City BBQ Festival will heat up Aug. 14-15 at The Classic Center in Athens, Ga. The family-friendly festival attracted 2,400 people last year. The event will feature three barbecue contests, local barbecue restaurant vendors, an outdoor music stage, classic car show, tailgate tradeshow, kids zone and more. The festival is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and is an official Georgia BBQ Championship 2015 Tour Event.
