Forsythia Festival Glow Run 5K
Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 8 PM
The annual Forsythia Festival 5K is an event perfect for the entire family. Run or walk the course, strollers are welcome. For those who prefer racing shorter distances, a 1 mile Fun Run will also be available. The 5K will be held at the Monroe County Recreation Department and take place on the cross country course. The course is a mixture of a trail and open paths and will be lit by glow sticks.
Banana Puddin' 5K and 1 Mile
Irwinton, April 30, 8:30 AM
This race is part of the State Banana Pudding Festival. It’s sponsored by the Friends of the East Wilkinson County Library and proceeds will be used for the 2016 Summer Reading Program.
Brain Awareness 5K
Gray, April 30, 6:00 PM
This 4th annual Brain Awareness 5K benefits the Pilot Club of Jones County to educate children & adults on brain safety and purchase helmets for all pre-K children in Jones County. The race will be held at Elam Baptist Church.
Macon' Us Glow 5K
Macon, May 6, 6:00 PM
This evening race will be held at Amerson River Park. The race benefits Macon Reentry Coalition and Bibb County Accountability Courts, two programs dedicated to promoting public safety through reducing recidivism rates through services and interventions based on individual needs. Macon Tracks members get a discounted entry fee of $20. Participants receive technical fabric shirts and glow bracelets.
All About Animals 5K, 10.2K, and 1 Mile
Macon, May 7 8:00 AM
Proceeds from the race will help fund All About Animals Rescue, a non-profit, no-kill animal shelter located in Macon. The race will be held at Mt. Zion Church. The race is part of the Macon Tracks OrthoGeorgia Race Series.
