Thanksgiving is the number one eating holiday of the year we and think you should be able to gorge guilt free. So go on and have that second piece of pie, we've rounded up the top 5 ways to burn off those extra calories both pre and post feast!
1. Turkey Burn and Turkey Spin at the Wellness Center

A true turkey day workout, the Wellness Center will be open for one hour on Thanksgiving morning from 8:30-9:30 am for the Turkey Burn and Turkey Spin Workouts!
2. Walk to all the Free Little Libraries and Donate Books

We have all seen the Tardis, but have you visited the 6 other free little libraries in Macon? Grab the family or friends and get some much needed cardio after turkey day by walking to the free libraries and donating a book. It is a great way to give back to the community, explore the city, and get a great workout in too. 3. Run the stairs in Washington Park

Not only is this one of the most beautiful parks in Macon, but Washington Park is a great spot for a free after thanksgiving workout. The park located at the base of the hill of Magnolia Street, which you could run sprints up and down on, but it also has a great staircase for a more advanced cardio workout. So put on the song Eye of The Tiger, and be sure to do your best Rocky impression once you reach the top!

5. Circuit Workout in Tattnall Square Park
College Street & Oglethorpe Street
Tattnall Square Park is your one-stop-shop for an amazing workout. There are a wide variety of athletic options and equipment available. If you are a runner, you can jog the perimeter of the entire park, which is just over 1 mile in distance. If you are trying to gain muscle, use the pull-up bar near the slide to increase your strength. You can even work on your backhand at the tennis courts or work on coordination by playing a game of soccer! With so much wide open space and options, you will never be bored with the same old workout again.
